ROLE: As Treauruer, I have general charge of the financial affairs of our club. My job is to formulate a budget, help obtain funding, keeps records of all financial transatctions, and process reimbursements. I also ensure that the money raised by DCC is donated to Chinese orphans in need.
WHY DID YOU JOIN?: I had never heard of China Care, but upon meeting Alisan, I was intrigued to join. China Care helps an ever growing population of Chinese orphans in need of special attention for their medical conditions. I’ve always been interested in pediatrics, so when Alisan told me about China Care’s cause, I was immediately drawn to being a part of this organization. China Care is a great opportunity to give back to a less fortunate population of children. The special attention that China Care homes give to disabled Chinese orphans will definitely give these children a better start to their lives than they would have in the otherwise overpopulated orphanages. Knowing that we can make a difference to these children’s lives is what made me want to join!
FUN FACT: I’m Canadian, and I’m scared of butterflies.
